This past weekend volunteer staff from DeKalb County United delivered a check to the Voluntary Action Center DeKalb. The two organizations co-promoted a virtual 5K race which is currently underway. Participants are able to complete their run and then report their times online by the end of this month.
In total the race raised over $2600.
DeKalb County United President John Hall said, "We've been working hard to find non-events to host this year with our soccer season canceled. Our staff came up with this great idea and we were excited to be able to work with a local organization that does so much for the community. Taylor and the VAC staff were a great partner for this event and we're happy that we can continue to meet our goal to be 'more than a soccer club' and impact those around us."
