Midfield Maestro! Carla Murrieta Joins DKCU for 2025

DKCU is proud to welcome DeKalb native Carla Murrieta to the squad for the 2025 season!
A standout center midfielder, Carla is graduating from DeKalb High School and will continue her education at Kishwaukee College in the fall. She joins DKCU to challenge herself in a competitive atmosphere and take her game to the next level.
Carla’s vision, composure, and technical ability make her a perfect fit for DKCU’s midfield. Whether dictating play, breaking up opposition attacks, or threading the perfect pass, she’s ready to bring her A-game to the pitch.
“I joined DKCU to challenge myself in a competitive atmosphere and to further improve my skills,” said Murrieta. And we couldn’t be more excited to have her!
Off the field, Carla is a big fan of small gatherings, bucket list travel, and—you guessed it—McDonald’s $5 meal deals. But on the field, she’s all about ambition over comfort—a mindset that will serve her well in DKCU colors.
