Date: Sunday, December 22, 2025
Time: 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Men's Open Tryout:
Date: Monday, December 23, 2025

About DKCU
DeKalb County United is a 100% community-funded amateur soccer club that aims to unite our community through the beautiful game. We offer a unique and exciting match day experience, complete with enthusiastic supporters, smoke bombs, and a family-friendly atmosphere that inspires our DKCU Academy players.
What to Expect
Competitive Environment: Our training sessions maintain a professional-type atmosphere, with players battling for spots in the matchday roster.
Time Commitment: Two evening training sessions per week at NIU, with games typically on weekends. Women's league matches are usually on Tuesdays.
Community Involvement: Players are expected to represent the club at community events.
Player Costs and Benefits
Player Fee: $250 plus uniform cost
Sponsorship Option: Find a sponsor (minimum $250 Banner Sponsor) to have your fees waived
Included Benefits: League fees, player registration, facility rentals, athletic trainers, and supplemental insurance
League Information
Men's Team: Competes in the Midwest Premier League (MWPL) and Greater Chicago Soccer League (reserves)
Women's Team: Plays in the Illinois Women's Soccer League (IWSL)
Additional Competitions: Both teams participate in the IL State Cup and likely the US Amateur Cup
